Got $50,000? You might be able to purchase Penn State football’s ‘ultimate game day experience’

New premium seating options at Beaver Stadium have been unveiled and promise to be “unlike any other premium seat option currently available” — but it comes at a high price.

Penn State Athletics announced Thursday the sale of new loge boxes on the west side of the stadium that will come to the stadium in 2027 as part of the $700 million renovation project. They include private hospitality and amenities.

It’s unclear what the annual cost of the West Loge Boxes will be, but to qualify to purchase one, a capital gift — between $50,000 and $100,000 — is required. That can be paid over five years beginning in 2025. A $1,000 deposit is required to confirm interest in purchasing a loge box.

The loge boxes in the new PAM Health Misitano Tower will include enough space for eight people, although only six of them will have seats, while the other two will be standing room only. The boxes come with all-inclusive food and beverage, including beer and wine; a dedicated refrigerator in the unit with “ample storage,” and two personal TV screens on the counter at the front of the unit, Penn State Athletics said in a ticket information email.

The boxes also come with two season parking passes.

There will be 30 loge boxes in two different locations on the west side of the stadium, Penn State Athletics said, and they expect to have more interest than units available. The new loge boxes will be assigned based on Nittany Lion Club point total. If the loge boxes sell out before someone gets access, their deposit will be refunded or can be applied toward another ticket purchase, the message states.

The deadline to submit a deposit is March 21.

Penn State’s board of trustees approved up to $700 million in spending on the renovation project last May, with work beginning on the stadium shortly thereafter. Since then, some improvements have already been made — including the addition of several escalators and improved WiFi — leading up to the demolition of the press box in early January.

Some additional details about the project design, including what the west side of the stadium will look like, were shared last month. Penn State Athletic Director Pat Kraft told the Centre Daily Times the new seating options are critical from a financial standpoint.
