It’s Week 3 of high school football in Centre County, but only one team took the gridiron.

Philipsburg-Osceola (1-1) fell 40-14 to Central (3-0) Friday night, while Penns Valley, Bald Eagle Area and Bellefonte were all sidelined.

State College got to play an intrasquad scrimmage Friday night — its first on the newly renovated Memorial Field.

The Little Lions are set to officially kick their season off next week against Central Dauphin, and the other teams should also be back in action, after a COVID-19 case at Clearfield shook up the Mountain League schedule.
