The best breakfast sandwich in Centre County can be found in Boalsburg.
That was the message from CentreDaily.com readers in our latest poll, which was won by Pump Station Cafe. The coffee shop received 16 of the 93 votes cast (17%) to finish first, ahead of Bonfatto’s (13 votes) and Cafe Lemont (11 votes).
CDT reporter Halie Kines visited Cafe Lemont last week to highlight the shop’s breakfast sandwich — the classic sausage, egg and cheese — as part of our “Hungry in Happy Valley” series.
The poll was open June 15-20 and was just for fun and not scientific.
We also received two nominations for Breakfast on Boal — for its sandwich on a brioche roll with hot mayo and its Monte Cristo — and one for The Naked Egg Cafe.
